About Us

Trusted to deliver on time and to the highest standard

Today, GWC serves as one-stop-shop for a range of scaffolding services including design, inspection, concept and assist. We are trusted by clients to manage all kinds of projects, small and large, and have built a reputation for dependable delivery and high quality.

We were established in 2011, by 3rd generation scaffolder Graeme Coote. In 1996, he commenced his 10 years at a leading scaffold company as a trainee scaffolder, progressing through the ranks to senior scaffolder and then onto senior foreman in 2002.

Our Journey So Far

Graeme held a number of leadership roles as an advanced scaffolder, worked on some of the most iconic projects and was responsible for the management and supervision of teams of up to 20 scaffolders.

Subsequently, this experience inspired his interest in Civil and Structural Engineering and he decided to train to become a Civil Engineer. Graeme took trainee engineer positions at Tone Scaffolding, Atkins Global and SGB to support his part-time education and also to provide him with practical experience and training.

In 2010 with guidance from his grandfather, Patrick, who was a Fellow member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (FIstructE) he completed a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Civil Engineering and continues to work towards becoming a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Civil Engineers.

Our Values

Our core values – integrity, accountability and quality – underpin who we are and how we operate. Guided by these values, we strive to:

  • Earn brand loyalty by providing a first-class client experience.
  • Treat every client project with equal importance.
  • Keep promises – to clients, suppliers and fellow colleagues.
  • Uphold our reputation for excellence, quality and value.
  • Maintain a safe, friendly and enjoyable work environment for all.

Community Spirit

Since our formation in 2011, the GWC team has put huge focus on community efforts and has raised thousands of pounds for charity.

Our charity events include numerous marathons, half marathons, football & rugby matches, golf days and many other activities. Our favoured charity is the Lily Foundation, that has raised millions in funding to improve the lives of people affected by Mitochondrial disease, while working towards a future where such disease can be effectively treated or cured. Graeme and his family have been involved with the Lily Foundation since its inception in 2007 and are personal friends of Liz Curtis MBE, CEO and mother of Lily, in whose memory the foundation was formed.
